Chester Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff available around the clock at this basic hotel that has everything you need for a couple of nights away in London. Our room was clean but would benefit from a lick of paint in the next few months. Everything worked and there was a super effective fan placed in our room to help during the hot weather. This isn't the most luxurious hotel available, but it's in a great location to support theatre trips and tourist activities and offers a good night's sleep. Will use again for another theatre trip.

The hotel was nice and located in a quiet street, just a 10-15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace, and there were several places to eat and groceries around, though the room was quite small for three people and the luggage, and it was a little bit noisy when other guests arrived or passed trough the hallway, but it is what you expect when it comes to London and the kind of building it is. Apart from that, there was hot water and a mini coffee station, and staff was helpful and friendly.

After being concerned to stay here due to many negative reviews I can say myself and my friend were pleasantly surprised. we arrived at the hotel earlier than we expected to (14;15) and our check in wasn’t until three. we spoke to the receptionist and asked if we could check in early and there were no issues at all, they were polite and friendly and welcomed us warmly. They even went out of their way to help us when we had to ask for directions and tube lines etc. We booked a double room with an en suite bathroom/shower and it was great. the room was a comfortable size and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. stocked with body wash and hand soap, clean towel and plenty of loo roll. Side note - the communal bathroom, the one you use if you don’t have an en-suite has a bath but is a dingy little room at the end of the hall (not quite our cup of tea). Staff were friendly and explained the services they offered including laundry and housekeeping but did state that unless you asked for it they wouldn’t enter your room in order to ensure your privacy. There is someone at the main desk 24/7 (although a few crowds gathered in the lobby of an evening so that was a bit awkward, but didn’t really effect the stay overall). we can definitely say we will stay here again when coming to London, this hotel is surrounded by some lovely food places, a Sainsbury’s and a Tesco express. the nearest tube station is a 7 minute walk and there are buses along the way too. overall a brilliant stay.

The rooms were small and just right for me as I was on my own, the WiFi worked, and the bed was clean and there was a TV in the room. I've never forgotten I watched the coronation of Charles III. The shared bathroom was a little inconvenient but acceptable. Staff were friendly and lent me a charger. There is a supermarket and train station nearby and it was easy to spend time there. Considering the location and the price, I am satisfied. Lovely hotel in lovely city.

Not stayed hear before,a small hotel in the heart of London! Very freindley guy on reption,and my room very clean and tidy ,a tv and hair dryer,a tea,coffee kettle ect! A fan was allso in room but not needed as in nov! However a good touch Bathroom was very small but for 1 perfick and very very clean! A great housekeeping! The only dis-advantage was the noise my room was by the main door leading to stairs So maybe a polite sign to just make other guests awere of noise. Wen entering up stairs Will stay again, Yes.

Had a single room on the ground floor. It was a box room 3mts x 2mts. Nice bed. Large TV. Tea & coffee. Toilet was outside of room.

I stayed here 28.7.25, after reading reviews I was worried. I was surprised, Receptionist lovely friendly, it's a quiet hotel, we were on top floor, bed was so comfy and pillows were perfect, small but absolutely fine for 2 adults as we only slept there, hot water, tea coffee plentiful, fridge, TV. A really good night's sleep. Excellent location was really happy would stay again.

Stayed with my daughter, for 2 nights. Rooms small, but clean, bedding was pristine, beds extremely comfortable. Toilet very small, but very clean. No complaints, ideally situated, close to amenities, Sainsbury round the corner, with a Starbucks. USB charger stations in room.
